Automation of the bank interface

What changes will there be to the bank interface?

The bank interface has been available since December 2023. Thanks to the interface, it is possible to compare the payment data of your accounts with the open incoming and outgoing invoices. To make this possible, you previously had to manually download your account transactions from your bank as a CSV file and then upload them to the system. From now on, this step can be done automatically if you wish. New account transactions from your bank are viewed and posted once a day. Apart from a visual check of the bookings, no further action is required on your part. Automation drives the digitalization of your company forward and saves you costs and working time.

Other functions

The other existing functions of the bank interface remain unchanged. You can continue to post individual payments automatically or, if necessary, manually. The automated reconciliation of payments is based on the invoice number, which should therefore always be included in the purpose of the transfer. If incoming and outgoing payments match the corresponding invoice amounts, the corresponding invoices are marked as fully paid. If payments are made that have a lower invoice amount, these are marked as partial payments. The partial payment function is also possible for invoices that are not settled via the bank interface.

If you do not consider a payment to be relevant, you can mark it as such. In this case, the corresponding payments are skipped by the system. An overview of the payments already made can be found under the system tile with the title “Payments”.

If payments have been made, they are read out and listed under “Payments”. In the list, partial payments are recorded as an individual element of the total amount.

To ensure that the setup runs smoothly for you, matching must first be carried out in the system configuration, which our consulting team will be happy to assist you with. For more information, please contact us here!
